James Harford (d. ca. 1829) was a Quaker merchant of Bristol, England, partner in the firm of Robson & Harford. Following the death of Joseph Robson, he became the sole proprietor of this mercantile firm. In 1760-1780's, he was involved a prolonged lawsuit against his debtor, a Fredericksburg merchant Roger Dixon (d. 1772) and his estate administered by his brother John.
